Grant's Back

It's official—Larry Grant is running again for the Democratic nomination for the First Congressional District, making the Democratic side of the race officially crowded.

Grant was defeated last year in the general election by U.S. Rep. Bill Sali. But Grant's not letting that stop his next run for the office. "The support and encouragement I've received to run again has been overwhelming," Grant said.

Rand Lewis is also an official card-carrying Democratic candidate, and don't forget Walt Minnick. While he hasn't officially declared his candidacy, he has been exploring the possibility by poking around the money and polling circles.

The GOP, of course, have their man Sali. Or do they?

We here at BW occasionally hear rumblings of a primary challenge against Sali. For now, however, he'll have a good ringside seat to the Democratic shootout.
