OK foodies, here's a little something different for dinner this weekend.
A little birdie told me about a seafood boil at Season's Bistro in Eagle and as we all know, a seafood boil in the middle of high desert Idaho isn't something we hear about everyday.
So I called up proprietor Rachel Hurn and just as we were chatting, 100 pounds of live crawfish arrived via Fed-Ex. (Makes you think that being a Fed-Ex driver is probably more interesting than you would think.)
Saturday, May 30, Hurn and company will cover the patio tables in the most traditional of Southern seafood boil table attire: newspaper. They'll dish up crawfish (no longer alive, obviously), as well as king crab legs, boiled shrimp, corn on the cob and garlic potatoes. Hefeweizen on tap will chase it all down.
I'd call and make a reservation if I were you. Fun starts at 6:30 p.m.Seasons Bistro, 1117 E. Winding Creek Rd., 208-939-6680, seasonsbistrocatering.com.
