Sacks, a Boise resident, is an author, essayist and social critic whose work on education and American culture has appeared in The New York Times, The Nation, The Chronicle of Higher Education, The Boston Review, Los Angeles Times and many other publications. He is currently at work on a book about social class and the American education system.
