Prepare yourself. I'm just warning you, this is the most depressing and destructive True Crime story to be featured in BW in weeks. Months, even. Your life will be no better after reading it, even though it might put some hair on your chest. Still interested? Last chance, to jump over to "Curious World," you sicko ... let's continue.

Cheryl Wise, 24, of Twin Falls, was arrested last week in Boise and accused of getting drunk, swallowing a small handful of sleeping pills and deliberately re-enacting a fatal car accident on a remote Wood River Valley highway. She was charged with aggravated DUI and two counts of second-degree murder for the deaths in a head-on collision of Bellevue residents Francisco Rojas, 37, and his son Julian, 9.

According to a report in the Hailey newspaper Wood River Journal, Wise was distraught over a previous accident which happened on the same stretch of highway three days earlier, and which had claimed the life of her beau, Frances Gereau of Carey. Wise had apparently been visiting Gereau's roadside memorial prior to the crash, where she ingested five bottled beers, one canned beer and three and a half sleeping pills. She then began to drive back toward Twin Falls before allegedly deciding to veer into oncoming traffic. Sheriffs deputies were reportedly alerted to the link by the presence of numerous brochures from Gereau's memorial service at the crash site. Wise was arrested after being flown in critical condition to Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Boise and is being held in Blaine County Jail in lieu of payment of a $500,000 bond.
