Brittney Denise Conan, a 24-year-old woman with three first names who admitted in April to making threats against a Boise woman, her family and her employer, has been sentenced to serve 18 months in prison, followed by 120 days in a community corrections facility and three years on supervised release. Conan will also be required to get mental health treatment, take her medication regularly and perform 80 hours of community service. According to a joint investigation by the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and the Ada County Sheriff's Department, Conan made a series of irate calls to a woman working at the Hilton Garden Inn in Eagle, the woman's mother and other hotel employees, during which she threatened to blow up the stately suburban hotel, its heated indoor pool, complimentary cable TV and daily turn-down service. The U.S. attorneys who pursued the charges did not indicate that Conan made any steps toward actually melting all those pillow-mints.
