there are a lot of beautiful drives in the country, but few can come anywhere close to comparing to the north - south highway through Idaho in constant beauty and diversity and fun curvy roads to drive. we love it. we've done the drive well over a hundred times. we never get sick of it. and it was a perfect way to end our 80 day lap of the US. and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day by which to drive it. didn't even matter that our CD player in the van crapped out the last day and ate a CD and refused to spit it out or eat anymore. we were blissed out being back in Idaho and couldn't have had a better reintroduction to this amazing state. between the drive and the epic shows Friday night at One World Cafe and John's Alley in our old stomping grounds of Moscow, ID and our late night set at Visual Arts Collective on Saturday and getting to wrap our arms and minds around all of our Idaho buddies we'd been missing we couldn't have been happier with how our tour came to a close. THANK YOU!
the last week was also blessed with great shows in Minneapolis, MN and Dickinson, ND and Missoula, MT and great friends along the way in those towns as well. and long long drives. the big expanses of the West. love it.
the dust is slowly settling on tour, but things are not slowing down. this is our 4th day off in a row, but we'll be hitting the road for most of the weekends throughout the summer and fall starting tomorrow as we head to La Grande, OR. super excited — la grande is la awesome. more updates coming very soon, but a lot of our upcoming shows are posted at www.myspace.com/finnriggins
