Friday night we(low-fi) loaded up the gear and headed to one of our favorite NW cities La Grande, OR. This was our 4th trip to La Grande in the last two years and the second time we would be playing at Liquid Lyrics. Sean and Anna Rogers are great friends and put on shows at the all ages venue. They also own Highway 30 Eatshttp://www.yelp.com/biz/highway-30-eats-la-grande, a little deli in downtown La Grande. Anna is a wonderful cook and after every trip we come home with lasting memories of delicious food! After the show she sent us to the hotel with homemade macaroni and a box full of homemade pastries for breakfast... so good!
We had a fun show! Probably about 40-45 people in attendance that all braved the freakish end of winter storm that seemed to blow into town just as we did... We hooked up with Yarn Owl(Pullman, WA)http://www.myspace.com/yarnowl on their way to open for Visqueen at the Neurolux in Boise tonight. Really enjoyed Yarn Owls set, they remind me a little bit of Band of Horses. I would definitely recommend catching a Yarn Owl show if possible! We'll be playing with them again in Pullman, WA Sat. March 27th for the 'Birds on a Wire' folk music festivalhttp://birdsonawirefest.com/
Until next time,
