Remember in home economics class when you had to make your own pillow? How you had to sew the whole thing inside-out so it would look right when you stuffed it with that cotton and sewed it shut? If you think making a pillow is tough, try making a quilt.
Today at the Boise 150 Sesqui-Shop from noon-6 p.m., the Boise Basin Quilters Guild is showing off historic and contemporary quilts, as well as a collection of old-school sewing equipment. It's a chance to view some one-of-a-kind, homemade art. And if you remember home economics, you'll appreciate how much work went into it. The event is free.
