In Boise Weekly's review of Peter Goes to Law School, the debut EP from Boise/Moscow synth-jockeys The Dirty Moogs, we answered a question posed by Bruce Springsteen during his SXSW keynote speech in 2012: "What the fuck is Nintendo-core?" The answer was Peter Goes to Law School by The Dirty Moogs.

The band bleeped the bejesus out of the bloops, packing the disc with Mega Man-worthy masterpieces.

So it shouldn't be a total surprise that as other bands are putting together special releases to go with Treefort, The Dirty Moogs skipped putting out new tunes and instead put out a video game.

The game is a lo-res style side-scroller based on the art of James Lloyd, who did the EP cover, and featuring the band's song "Side Scroller."

"It follows in the footsteps of Journey's 1983 eponymous arcade smash 'Journey' and the myriad of Michael Jackson's 'Moonwalker' games by pitting the band's protagonist against the evils of the surrounding world," reads the game's propaganda.

The Peter Goes to Law School game can be downloaded for free from the website of Nampa-based Sunless Sea Records, which released the EP. Just follow this link.
