People are infatuated with the collapse of civilization. From obsessions with alien attacks to television shows about zombie plagues, there's a growing number of people who are—probably rightly—worried about what society and humanity would look like if the order of things crumbled.
Enter Revelation, a play by Samuel Brett Williams about the American landscape, love and faith in the midst of the end of times. Brandon, a Bible-believing Southern Baptist, falls in love with pre-med student, Rebecca, after the Hudson River turns to blood and Ohio comes down with a mean case of the boils. They have adventures crossing the United States en route to find the New Jerusalem in Arkadelphia, Ark.
A reading of the play by Boise Contemporary Theater actors goes down at 7 p.m. at 854 Fulton St. as part of BCT's 5x5 Reading Series. Tickets are $10-$12.
