Fans of both downtown Boise art gallery/gift shop Bricolage and former Nampa clothing store Brass Razoo will rejoice at news the two organizations plan to join forces.

According to Bricolage owner Chelsea Snow, her shop at 418 S. Sixth St. has featured work by Brass Razoo designer Elise Vaughn for some time.

"We’ve been selling her things in the store for a little over a year now, and they’ve done really well, and we really love working together," said Snow. "She was ready to do something new and I was ready to do something new, and it all came together at once."

A fabrication studio will be added to the shop's existing boutique space, as will a roster of sewing, linocut and other arts classes. The duo will also be launching a collaborative line called bric+brass in the spring.

Snow said Vaughn has looked into opening a shop in Boise since her Nampa store closed, and is excited to move into the Bricolage location.

Snow also said the shop will now be open four days a week, effective Thursday, Feb. 7. The store's new hours are Thursday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Sunday noon-5 p.m., and by appointment. Bricolage will continue to host local art exhibitions on First Thursdays.

"It feels great. I was definitely ready for a change, and the classes are something that I’m always doing, but didn't feel like I had the time for, and now this is going to free me up to teach a lot more," said Snow.
