Winemaker Neil Glancey's 2007 Meritage, a Bordeaux-style blend of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, malbec and cabernet franc grapes, took a bronze medal in the category of Bordeaux Blends priced $20 to $29.99, alongside 13 other competitors.
According to the winery, Glancey has been crafting wine in Idaho for 11 years, including five at Woodriver Cellars. The grapes to create the medal-winning Meritage were grown at the winery's vineyard in Wilder, part of the Snake River American Viticulture Area.
