In the Wednesday, Jan. 16, edition of Boise Weekly, we will publish an in-depth look at HomeGrown Theater's production of Qui Nguyen's Living Dead in Denmark, a play about Shakespearean heroines waking up in the middle of a zombie apocalypse.
The article examines how the team behind the play is using kung-fu battles, special effects, zombie apocalypses and snappy banter to make theater more relevant to young people in Boise.
BW swung by rehearsals for the show to see the cast practicing some of the play's many fight scenes, and to discuss the production with director Chad Shohet.
