Back in the day, admission to the movie palace cost a nickel and came with popcorn. It was uphill through the snow to get there and back home again, but at at least the movie was worth the price of admission.

If you're a frequent moviegoer, then you know that a lot of the films coming from Hollywood simply aren't worth your hard-earned dough—particularly the holiday-themed ones.

But here's one that is: White Christmas, the 1954 Irving Berlin musical starring crooner Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye.

It's playing at Boise's own movie palace, the Egyptian Theatre, at 7 p.m. Admission is $6-$9.
