Not into the Black Friday insanity? How do you feel about beer? If you're predisposed to the latter, and really hate the first, Payette Brewing Company has the perfect solution for how to spend your Friday, Nov. 23.
That day, the brewery is hosting a Black Friday party, pouring dark imperial stouts beginning at noon.
According to Payette, the brewery will offer up Deschutes Brewery's 2011 Abyss and Black Butte XXIII, Firestone Walker's Parabola, Odell Brewing's Bourbon Barrel Stout, Squatter's Outer Darkness, two versions of Ninkasi's Imperiale Stout, and Payette's own 12 Gauge Shotgun Imperial Stout.
Payette staff stress there are limited quantities of the dark brews, so it's best to visit early. For grub, Archie's Place will serve up food-truck fare, and the first 20 people to bring an item for the Boise Rescue Mission and place it under the "giving tree" will receive a free snifter.
Lastly, if you just have to shop, the brewery is offering 20 percent off all merchandise.
