Feeling a little down because it's Friday and your plans for the evening involve spending quality time on the couch with your cat? If you think there isn't anything happenin' today, you obviously haven't been reading the Boise Weekly. But we'll stop shaking our finger at you, and tell you how to have a rocking Friday.
Feeling like getting some grub from a truck? Good, because you can come see us at our office, 523 Broad St., for Food Truck Friday. From 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m., you can grab some lunch from Archie's Place and swap stories with your favorite BW peeps.
And if that's not enough four-wheeled food for you, the Food Truck Rally will take place at 15th and Idaho streets from 5-9 p.m. Break out your Halloween costume a bit early and partake in the contest at 7 p.m.
Rather feed your mind than your gut? Two story-focused events are going down tonight. The Ghosts and Projectors series will take place at The Crux, 1022 W. Main St., at 7 p.m. Brian Teare, Kerri Webster, Genevieve Kohlhardt and Julie Strand will read from their works. A $2 donation is suggested.
And in other story happenings, the Linen Building, 1402 W. Grove St., will be filled with spooky stories when Daniel Bishop takes the stage with violinist Jennifer Dunn for Ghosts: Manifestations of Music and Story. The event starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door.
