Wanted: Bad Cartoons

Do you have what it takes to be really, really bad? Not in the "get arrested and have an embarrassing mug shot plague you for the rest of your life" kind of bad, but the artistic kind of bad.

Yes, it's once again time for artists of all skill levels and ages to sharpen their pencils—or pens, colored pencils, markers, crayons ... anything other than blood works for us—and put their strangest ideas and most eye-rolling puns to paper for the 11th annual Boise Weekly Bad Cartoon Contest.

Entries are due at BWHQ no later than 5 p.m., Friday, Nov. 9.

All entries must include a $10 per cartoon entry fee—which will be used to award cash prizes to the winners. Entries must also have the artist's name, address and phone number on the back, as well as any explanation your work of art might need.

Don't forget to include a self-addressed, stamped envelope if you want your entry returned.

In addition to cash, winners will be published in the Wednesday, Nov. 28, edition of Boise Weekly.

Entries can be mailed to or dropped off at Boise Weekly, 523 Broad St., Boise, ID, 83702. For more information, contact Office Manager Shea Sutton at 208-344-2055.
