You don't have to admit it, but we know you've sat in your car/stood in your shower/closed your blinds, cranked the radio up and sung along to at least one Alanis Morissette song. It's not your fault—the Canadian songstress' stuff is just too damn catchy.
And today, you can scream the words to "You Oughta Know" along with everyone else who used it to get over an idiot ex-boyfriend in the '90s.
Aside from her iconic Jagged Little Pill album, Morissette has released seven other albums—from 1991's Alanis to 2012's Havoc and Bright Lights, which dropped Aug. 28. Among her many, many achievements and endeavors of interest are her kiss with a girl in an episode of Sex and the City, her role in a documentary about the word "fuck," and relationship with Full House's Dave Coulier, aka Uncle Joey (which resulted in the double Grammy-winning "You Oughta Know").
You can catch Morissette live at the Knitting Factory today as part of her Guardian Angel Tour at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $48-$100.
