A flurry of freaks took part in the annual Evil Wine Carnival, this time held over two days at Red Room and Visual Arts Collective Sept. 29 and 30.
"The Carnival is for people to celebrate their dirty side," said organizer Wes Malvini.
He and partner Dustin Jones created Evil Wine as a program on Radio Boise before leaving that station to produce their own underground video series, frequently screened at Red Room on Monday nights.
For this year's carnival, Evil Wine joined WavePOP and extended the festivities for a whole weekend of debauchery, music, drink and song. More than a dozen bands, DJs and comedians performed at the event, also meant to promote and support local art and businesses.
Boise Weekly stopped by the second day of the carnival, Sept. 30, to take some photos at the Visual Arts Collective.
