Mustaches may have had a resurgence with the rise of the hipster, but today, all lackluster lip fuzz will be put to shame.
Real facial hair enthusiasts—or at least those who can stand not shaving for a month—will compete in Old Chicago's sixth annual Mustaches for Miracles.
Watch 'stached dudes lift weights with their facial hair, see how much Guiness their upper lip can absorb, sculpt a replica of their stache with Play-Dough on a paper plate and more.
Every year, competitors get into the spirit of things by dressing up as various famous mustachioed men, leaving you to question if Tom Selleck is really doing shots with Burt Reynolds, or you're just too intoxicated.
Entry is limited to 80 participants and costs $25. All proceeds benefit Miracle on Idaho Street, an annual event at Old Chicago, where approximately 1,000 homeless men, women and children come and enjoy a Christmas Day dinner.
Even if you're not a mustached crusader, you can put back some cocktails and watch participants battle it out for hairy glory. Check-in begins at 6 p.m. and the Mustache Olympics begin at 7 p.m. at the Rose Room.
