Some movies are so far out there that they develop the kind of loyal fan base generally reserved for iconic rock bands. One of those movies has even resulted in a festival, a film about the festival and a spike in popularity of white russians and bathrobes.
Another instance of The Big Lebowski's fan culture can be found today at 20th Century Lanes. The bowling palace will host a party in honor of the film, with specials on white russians/caucasians, trivia and games. From 8 p.m.-midnight, attendees can enjoy unlimited bowling while the film plays on TVs throughout the alley for $15.
Shoe rental is included and two games of Monte Carlo bowling will take place at 8 p.m. Jell-O shots and beer specials will be available and a costume contest will take place, so ready your best bathrobe or finest polyester bowling attire.
The Achievers: The Story of the Lebowski Fans documentary director Eddie Chung is rumored to be going, as well.
