Need Something To Do Thursday?

If your taste buds are aching with boredom, having been subjected to the normal weekday fare of uninspired after-work meals or take-out, today will provide the perfect opportunity to jazz up your culinary landscape.

Tonight, you can give your taste buds a party with a trip to Front Door Northwest Pizza and Taphouse. The creator of various bastard ales, Stone Brewing Company, will feature a number of its beers paired with cheese and chocolate samples. Draughts from the brewery, such as its Levitation and Sublimely Self-Righteous ales and a smoked porter with chipotle, will be on special.

From 6-9 p.m., you can partake in the beer specials and chat up Stone rep. Erin Kemplin. You can also celebrate the brewery's sweet 16 with a keg of its special 16th Anniversary IPA, said to be the first such keg in Boise. According to Stone's blog, the anniversary beer is a double IPA with lemon verbena and lemon oil, as well as Amarillo and Calypso hops, which are said to mix well with the beer's peach, mango, apple and berry notes.

Visit Front Door's Facebook page for news on its brewer's nights and more info about what's on tap.
