Local post-rock band Red Hands Black Feet has been working on its debut album foeva. Seriously. And July 30, as the band shipped out for the first night on its Northwest summer tour, RHBF uploaded a preview of the album to Bandcamp to give folks a taste.
The track, "This is What Happens when You Befriend a Stranger in the Alps," is nearly eight minutes of the swooning, sweeping, slowly building atmosphere that the band has made its trademark sound. It crescendos from delicate twinkling arpeggios into into big percussive blasts of distortion with nary a moony lyric to be found.
The album, These Things Are Important, still lacks a release date. But at least there is this single to tide fans over.
