Boise Rock School teachers aren't slouches in the teaching-kids-how-to-rock department. But sadly, not every kid in Boise has the resources to attend the school.

This summer, BRS is aiming to do something about that with a summer camp exclusively for kids ages 6-18 who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford this, or any other sort of summer camp.

From a press release:

We are choosing students for this camp through a nomination process. Student nominations should be sent to info@boiserockschool.com with the subject heading “Free Camp.” Please include the student's name, age and instrument choice and a brief description of why the student should attend an awesome week of rocking.

From those nominations, 24 students will be chosen. BRS also said that it is working to provide the students with instruments that they will be able to take home after the camp, and to see it turn into an annual event.

The camp will be held at the Boise Rock School, 1404 W. Idaho St., Monday, Aug. 6-Friday, Aug. 10. Get more info at boiserockschool.com.
