Ready your bibs and moist towelettes—the 2012 Northwest Ribfest is here. While some carnivores began journeying to Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park Saturday, there's still time to get your meat-on-the-bone fix. Cooking competitors will grill their concoctions again today from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. at the park, all in pursuit of a $10,000 prize.

Admission to the family friendly event is FREE. More than 100 vendors of food and non-food items will be on hand, and the event will also include an array of children's activities.

So, throw back some boozy beverages at the beer, wine and margarita gardens, take a ride on the mechanical bull, then dance to the sounds of a rotating lineup of bands onstage at the outdoor amphitheater. The tentative lineup today includes Soul Honey, Burley Grimes, Edgar Guerrero and Ballet Folklorico Mexico Lindo.

Awards for the champion ribsters will be doled out at 5 p.m.
