In today's edition of Boise Weekly, reporter Randy King educates readers on frog gigging (frog hunting with a spear), how to do it (through the swamp muck) and why (because frog legs are damn good).
King, who is known for his hunter-gatherer-chef excursions (remember his rattlesnake roadkill meal?), took BW New Media Czar Josh Gross and myself on a walk through the swamps of Nampa in search of a good meal. As it turns out, I'm no frog killer (cue squeamish girl squeals) but King and Gross picked up my slack, bagging a total of six frogs.
King fried up the spoils of our trip and brought them in to BWHQ for lunch Tuesday:
