Beyond the Sun is the record Chris Isaak said he has always wanted to make in his 25-plus years in the music industry. The American rock musician is best known for his song "Wicked Game,” but always wanted to tap into the heart and soul of his music. Isaak’s icons are some of the greats: Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison and Jerry Lee Lewis. On one occasion, Isaak even toured as an opener for Orbison.
Tickets for Isaak's show at The Eagle River Pavilion on Friday, July 20, went on sale today, Friday, June 8, at 10 a.m. Tickets are available through ticketfly.com with general admission lawn tickets for $35, reserved tickets for $49.50 and VIP tickets for $99.50. The doors open at 6 p.m. and the music kicks off at 7 p.m.
My Morning Jacket has opted to extend its previously announced tour and will allow fans to assist in the selection of its set list. Through Twitter, fans will have the ability to curate the set from any of the band's six studio albums.
This is part of The Spontaneous Curation Series, which seeks to add uniqueness to each show. Days before the performance, the band will send out tweets with instructions on how to submit songs, but concert-goers first have to be part of the My Morning Jacket Fan Club to participate.
Boise fans will have the opportunity to hear their favorite MMJ songs on Sunday, Sept. 9, at the Idaho Botanical Garden. The opener for My Morning Jacket is special guests Shabazz Palaces, a Seattle-based hip-hop collective.
Tickets for the show went on sale today, Friday, June 8, at 10 a.m. They cost $38 for general admission, and table and canopy seating are available through ticketfly.com. The gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the music starts at 6 p.m.
