Warmer weather brings lots of outdoor opportunities—hiking Tablerock, concerts under the stars, dining al fresco and ample opportunities to score fresh produce and artisan goods. Nampa, Marsing, Meridian and almost every other community in the Treasure Valley has a farmers market, and Boise boasts two prominent weekly markets.
While the Capital City Public Market fills the streets of downtown every Saturday morning and afternoon, Sundays draw Boiseans to Bown Crossing. The East End Market takes place every Sunday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and offers an array of fresh produce, jewelry, music and art.
The market opened its season on Mothers Day, May 13, and will continue until Oct. 14. So enjoy a sunny Sunday—or a few—with a bike ride to Bown, peruse some produce and wrap things up with a late lunch on one of the nearby restaurant patios.
