In March, we wrote about the Chapel Hill, N.C., band Lost in the Trees, a classically trained six-piece lead by frontman Ari Picker. The gang played a reverent set at Boise's Neurolux on March 28.

Now the troupe has released a new video for "Golden Eyelids" off the new album A Church That Fits Our Needs via NYC blog brooklynvegan.com.

Boise Weekly caught up with Picker's co-director, Jerry Stifelman of Creato Destructo, about their other collaborative work on the videos "All Alone in an Empty House" and "Red." Stifelman called Picker a "natural director."

"Ari sees images sometimes as he writes the songs, sometimes later on. The images from those two videos are images from Ari’s imagination," said Stifelman. "He doesn’t just write the records."

The two have come together again for "Golden Eyelids," this time utilizing a Chapel Hill community pool to create haunting underwater images.
