With warmer weather comes a variety of activities that can be done while breathing in some fresh oxygen, including creating a one-of-a-kind piece of art.
Today at noon, you can learn all about the tradition of plein air painting, which is pretty much what the name implies—painting in open air. Local plein air painters John Killmaster and Tricia May of the Plein Air Painters of Idaho will present the Painting from Idaho Life brown bag lecture at the Idaho Historical Museum.
For $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $3 for students and FREE for children ages 6-13, you can get an education about painting outdoors on location, hear about Killmaster's and May's experiences and gain a little background on the tradition. Bring your lunch, enjoy coffee, punch and cookies, and maybe get inspired to haul your easel outside.
