According to festival organizers, 204 volunteers are working the inaugural Treefort Music Fest, not including staff. These volunteers have a number of reasons for helping with the festival.
“I decided to volunteer for great bands," said Stanford McConnehey. "And cheap tickets, and just to be involved in Treefort’s first year.”
Stanford is working a total of 12 hours for the festival, but said he will be here the entire weekend even when he isn’t working. He's most looking forward to K Flay, which is playing Friday, March 23 on the Main Stage.
Baeleigh Hamlin said she volunteered because she knew she wouldn’t be able to afford a pass so she emailed Volunteer Coordinator Elizabeth Orcutt and found out there was another option.
“It was just so cool, and I thought it would be cool to be a part of it,” Hamlin said.
