Idaho IceWorld wants to teach you how to curl. No, ladies, it has nothing to do with your hair. And, no, 'roided-out meatheads, it has nothing to do with dumbbells.
The Boise Curling Club will be at the ice rink today doling out advice on the quirky, yet wicked-awesome sport. Learn how to throw stones (it doesn't matter if you live in a glass house), all about sweeping, etiquette and technique. Spots go from 6:30-8 p.m. and 7:30-9 p.m. Sessions feature a half-hour of off-ice instruction, an hour of practice and a game. Who knows, maybe you'll find your hidden talent and head to the Olympics.
Can't make it today? The Learn to Curl evening will take place again on Sunday, March 25, at the same place and times. The cost is $20, which can be applied to club fees if you end up loving the sport enough to make it your new hobby. Sign up for either evening at the club's website.
