Remember Rugrats—Nickelodeon's animated show about mischievous babies that featured a Godzilla-like monster called Reptar? Good. Because Reptar is headed to the Reef today at 10 p.m., but it has nothing to do with cartoons or babies. Just get-out-there-and-dance music.
The foursome has been likened to Talking Heads and the Jackson 5, among others, and recorded with producer Ben Allen, Sean P. Diddy Combs, Gnarls Barkley, Animal Collective and Matt & Kim. Reptar will play with Quiet Hooves, another band from Athens, Ga., which describes its genre as "weird pop with other stuff in there" on its Facebook page.
Tickets for the show are $7 in advance and can be purchased via Reptar's website. Or you can shell out $10 at the door.
