Liquid will be the place to get your sins out before Ash Wednesday. A night of battling DJs from the local collective Bass Matters will spin beats and there will also be $3 top-shelf drink specials after 10 p.m., along with give-aways and raffles. Not to mention, there will be free beads at the door.

It’s also Fat Calzone Tuesday. Old Chicago is giving away 100 handcrafted calzones starting at 2 p.m. today. The dough pups are a limited-time offer, so romp into any Boise Old Chicago this Tuesday and say “calzone me” to receive either a Sicilian trio, Texican beef or chicken club on the house.

Piper Pub and Grill will also feature live music on Fat Tuesday from Steady Rush starting at 6 p.m. Next door, The Balcony will have beads and purple, green and gold shot specials with live DJ Justin Case. Down the block, Tom Grainey’s will also have beads and outrageous Mardi Gras flair.

Those looking for a one-stop shitshow can pay a $10 cover for three clubs: China Blue, Dirty Little Roddy’s and Main Street Bistro. All drinks are $2 and each club will also be fully equipped with a house DJ.

As a fundraiser for the Boise Blues Society's Blues In the Schools program, The Acoustaholics and Hambones On The Beach will perform at Jo’s Sunshine Lounge at 6 p.m. for $5. Lori B! and Richard Soliz are also playing as part of the beaded fun.

Humpin’ Hannah’s annual Ta Ta Tuesday Bash will let the ladies loose at 7 p.m. This Fat Tuesday bash features beads, masks, jester crowns, staffs and fancy-pants attire. There will be bobbing for baubles, crowning of the Mardi Gras king and queen, VJ Jazzy Jim with Zydeco and Cajun Swamp and the Rocci Johnson Band. All this fun will only set you back $5.

If FREE is more your bag, head over to the Idaho Outdoor Association at 3401 Brazil St. for a Mardi Gras-themed open house, complete with costumes and free food, including red beans and rice, King cake, spinach balls, crab dip, deviled eggs and punch.
