Need Something To Do Sunday?

Remember those Scooby-Doo sequences, where the characters are chased by an obvious villain in a rubber ghost mask through a series of doors, resulting in confusion as to who's where and with whom, until they all collide in the hallway and the bad guy is de-masked?

Stage Coach Theatre isn't bringing Scooby to the City of Trees, but the characters of the company's latest production, Unnecessary Farce, are pretty mixed up. The play tells the story of police officers, crooks and an embezzling mayor and his accountant. Hilarity arises amidst eight doors and the characters' confusion over who's in which room, who's being videotaped, who hired a hit man and why money has been stolen. If that wasn't dizzying enough, the accountant inexplicably keeps trying to take off her clothes.

Go laugh and get confused in the best way today at 2 p.m. during a matinee of Stage Coach's Unnecessary Farce. Tickets are $15, and if you can't make it today, don't stress—the play will also run Thursday, Jan. 26-Saturday, Jan. 28. Visit Stage Coach's website for show times and more information.
