For the ninth consecutive year, the Company of Fools in Hailey has brought Chicago comedy theater troupe The Second City to the Gem State. Tonight is the last show in The Second City's three-night run at Liberty Theatre in the heart of Hailey. The troupe will serve up the irreverent, yet comically brilliant entertainment it has been crafting for 50 years at 7 p.m.
The New York Times has called The Second City a "comedy empire," and their tentacle-like arms have now extended into training centers in Chicago, Toronto and Hollywood, and even TV and film endeavors.
The Second City on Tour travels across the country, but Hailey is the only Idaho stop. Tickets range from $25 to $35, but for a chance to witness the work of a troupe that spawned the likes of Stephen Colbert, Tina Fey and Steve Carell, it's a no-brainer.
