Roughly 700 Boiseans piled into the Egyptian Theatre last night for the seventh Ignite Boise event. The evening included 16 speakers, each with 20 powerpoint slides, and a five-minute presentation free of advertisements.
Topics ranged from the importance of grammar fascism, to removing the "step" in stepparent, the beauty of beards, and a birds-and-bees presentation that went from raucous laughter to teary-eyed silence.
Local sponsors contribute to make the free event possible, in exchange for hip eyeballs on brief, not-lame commercials during the intermission.
