- Bet on Literacy at Boise's Knitting Factory
Boise was a hot gambling spot last night. You name it—Texas Hold 'Em, blackjack, roulette, craps. And the chips were flowing to some high rollers. But the winnings weren't worth more than the pieces of plastic that they were. Friday night's Bet on Literacy Casino Night was completely for charity. If you were gambling, you were doing it for the action ... and a worthy cause.
The fundraiser, which packed Boise's Knitting Factory, filled the coffers for The Learning Lab, bringing literacy to more than 300 students each year.
By the way, Cobweb had a very, very successful night. Anybody want a bucket of poker chips?
