We have kind of been all about Anthony Doerr lately.

He was the Citizen in our April 9 issue, and on April 11, we told you about how he won the esteemed 2011 Sunday Times EFG Private Bank Short Story Award.

Now, you can get up close and personal with the word master and see what all the fuss is about. The Sun Valley Center for the Arts is sponsoring a week-long workshop for aspiring writers titled "Break the 'Pre' off the Dictable: A Workshop for Fiction Writers with Anthony Doerr" that will run June 13-17. Cost for the workshop is $300 for SVCA members, $350 for non-members.

According to an email from Kristine Bretall, the SVCA's marketing and performing arts director, the information has only been posted on the center's website and two people have already signed up, so if you want in on this chance to study under the man whose stories The New York Times said, "undulate, surge and recede like the tides," you better get on it.

Doerr will also present a FREE reading on Tuesday, June 14, at The Center in Ketchum at 6:30 p.m.

For more information or to register for the class, call 208-726-9491 or visit sunvalleycenter.org. The deadline to register is Wednesday, June 1.
