Celebrities with restaurants are not a new thing. Michael Jordan has his steakhouse and Alice Cooper has his famous hot dog.

Who wouldn't love this guy's chicken? I mean, look at that grill.

And now adding to the mix is Flavor Flav with his new fried chicken restaurant. Located in the, uh, thriving metropolis of Clinton, Iowa, the restaurant serves up the staples. Called “Flav’s Fried Chicken” or FFC for short, Mr. Flav is attempting to take on KFC, according to the Clinton Herald.

“I’m not scared to go against The Colonel, taste-wise,” Flav said, speaking of the chicken chain's patriarch. “Business-wise, he’s got me, because he’s been here longer. But I’m about to catch up to the colonel.”

FFC offers staples like mashed potatoes but also has baked “potatoe” and “potatoe” salad. Maybe Dan Quayle is working for the sign company.

Unfortunately the establishment seems to be facing hard times. It seems that several employees' checks have bounced. Flav denies these claims.

Best wishes, Mr. Flav. You only have 3,499 restaurants to open to catch up with The Colonel.
