Fall into a Burning Ring of Fire at Flying Pie

There are only a few weeks left of summer, but it's still plenty hot outside. However, if you need a little more heat in your life, consider a "world famous" habanero pizza from Flying Pie. Flying Pie uses habaneros that are harvested from the Yucatan region of Mexico, so they're the freshest you'll find this far north of the border. This special pizza, which looks surprisingly innocent, is only offered once a year during the month of August.

With Boise Beerfest going on this past weekend, my posse and I couldn't think of a better way to compliment all the barley and hops, so we decided to try a small habanero pie (there is a double-strength version and a triple-strength version, but we weren't feeling that brave).

An hour after my last bite, my tongue was still burning. And the next morning, my husband was singing "Ring of Fire" as though he was the Man in Black himself.

Check out Adam Richman's experience with that item when his show, Man vs. Food, profiled the habanero pie in August of 2009.
