Here's a smattering of offerings to celebrate Mexico's independence with booze, spicy food and hollering.
On The Border will feature music, food, on-site glass blowing and live radio broadcasts, and a jalapeno eating contest.
Neurolux is going to have all kinds of chaos with Eclektic~Ka, a mix of salsa, belly dancing, flamenco, burlesque, pole acrobatics, rhythmic gymnastics, costumes, and sombreros, ribbons, feathers, pinatas and "trickery."
And finally, if you're looking for some music, swing by Pengilly's where Poke is going onstage around 9 p.m.
There was supposed to be a big event on The Grove Plaza, however, it was rescheduled to Doce de Mayo.
From the press release...
Due to the weather forcast the Downtown Boise Cinco de Mayo Cultural Celebration on the Grove Plaza will be rescheduled for Wed May 12 from 4-8pm. Weather reports are predicting wind gusts up to 40+ miles per hour and rain for later today. In the interest of public safety we are rescheduling the event. Please join us next Wed May 12th on the Grove Plaza.
The plus of that is that you'll get another go round should you black this one out from that tequila crawl.
