Co-op cooking classes a bestseller

After Boise lost both Kandor and Easy Cookin', the roster for cooking classes slimmed down to a very, very short list.

Pottery Gourmet is changing all that. In addition to bringing in some of Idaho's most well-known chefs for classes throughout October, Pottery Gourmet has also teamed up with Boise Co-op to offer classes every Wednesday night with a focus on local, sustainable and economical dishes.

The first class was last night and in the next few weeks, classes focus on French food from classic soups to Julia Child’s Boeuf Bourguignon. Unfortunately, classes are sold out for the foreseeable future. (If you ask us, it sounds like Boise epicures have been missing their cooking lessons.) The only thing left in October is Oct. 28's class, which is a family affair on Halloween treats for kids and parents.

Call to be put on a waiting list for October's classes, and keep an eye out for November's schedule at boisecoop.com. One of next month's classes is already sold out, so you'll have to act fast unless you want to get stuck on a waiting list again.
