Robin Long: Why He Ran

Robin Long went AWOL in 2005, hiding in a Boise basement for several months before seeking refuge in Canada. Now he is apparently the first U.S. military deserter to be deported back to the United States. And many Canadians are pissed.

He could face one of three actions: discharge, court martial or a forced return to duty according to the Idaho Statesman.

From the 2006 interview: Are you willing to go to prison for your decision if it comes to that? Yeah, if it came down to that, I'd be willing to go to prison because I know I did the right thing and I can sleep at night and my conscience is still good.

Funny, It is called an "enlistment contract" not a "capricious agreement". His courage ran out (Or ran down his leg) when He found out that his mouth wrote a check that his a$$ could not cover. You were not drafted! That is why canada kicked You out!
