Less than 48 hours after a Boise man was arrested for battery on a police officer following a fight outside of a Boise bar, he was arrested again, this time on a felony count of aggravated assault and battery.
Boise Police responded to a report of a fight at a residence near West Fairview Avenue and Cole Road the night of July 9. That's where they discovered the suspect sleeping in the grass in front of the home. According to witnesses, the suspect threatened a resident of the home with a knife. The suspect was transported to a local hospital because of his level of intoxication. He was later booked into the Ada County Jail.
38-year-old Sean Nihill of Boise remains at the lockup, charged with aggravated assault and battery.
Boise Police say they're also investigating a bicycle versus vehicle collision late that same night near South Leadville and West Boise avenues. Initial reports indicate the bicyclist, an adult female was travelling north on Leadville when the collision occurred. Initial reports indicate that the car may have been travelling against traffic.
The rider was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Charges have yet to be filed, but the investigation continues.
