A pair of Boise men was arrested early this morning after a neighbor spotted them on a roof of a Vista Avenue business, allegedly preparing to break into the building.
"This neighbor saw something they thought was suspicious activity in progress, they called 911 and we took it from there," said Lt. Andy Johnson of the Boise Police Patrol Division. "We believe, thanks to that citizen's help, we prevented at least one crime, saved at least one local business from losses, thanks to a citizen who cared enough to pay attention."
Police were called to the 600 block of Vista Avenue and set up a perimeter around the building to prevent the suspects from getting away. A Boise Police K9 was also called to the scene. Officers waited for daylight, then with the help of a ladder truck from the Boise Fire Department, officers went to the roof to make the arrests.
27-year-old Cody Tennant and 29-year-old Spencer Sanders, both of Boise, were each charged with a felony count of attempted burglary and possession of burglary tools.
