Boise Police responded to numerous calls from witnesses who described a drunk motorcycle rider swerving in his lane near Franklin and Curtis roads at approximately 7 p.m. on May 8.
In a nearby parking lot, BPD arrested Kelly J. Baker, 54, of Boise, after he failed several field sobriety tests.
Witnesses say Baker pulled into the parking lot before falling over, pinned beneath the bike. As officers arrived, witnesses helped remove the motorcycle from the suspect, who appeared to be "very intoxicated" according to BPD, before issuing numerous field sobriety tests.
Baker blew a .29 blood alcohol concentration, well over the legal limit of 0.08 BAC. His records also revealed previous convictions for driving under the influence. Baker was booked at the Ada County Jail on a charge of felony DUI.
