A former Idaho political columnist and longtime editorial page editor for the Lewiston Tribune had some choice words for North Idaho Democrats Saturday, repeatedly calling the nation's electorate "America the gullible."
This morning's Coeur d'Alene Press reports that Bill Hall, who retired from the Tribune in 2002, was a guest speaker at the annual North Idaho Democracy Dinner in Worley.
Hall also blamed voters for breeding what he called "uncommonly cowardly members of Congress" and dubbed cable news commentators as "daylong, servile stooges of the Democratic or Republican parties."
Among his other comments, Hall also called for a single national primary day during a presidential election year and a 10 percent surchage on everyone's income tax every time the nation goes to war.
