Still another bomb threat shook up an Idaho school Thursday, but police in Hailey said they made a quick arrest and charged a student with a felony.
This morning's Idaho Mountain Express reports that classes were canceled for the day April 18 at both Wood River and Silver Creek high schools in addition to numerous school events throughout Blaine County, following a 10 a.m. phone call threatening that a bomb would go off at noon.
School district officials, Blaine County Sheriff's Deputies and Idaho State Police searched both high schools but did not find anything out of the ordinary.
Police said they arrested a suspect within 20 minutes of the call. Law enforcement said the suspect was a sophomore at Wood River High School and faces a felony charge of making a bomb threat.
The incident followed a series of bomb threats made a week ago to several Idaho schools and businesses. A 16-year-old Meridian boy and a teenager from Australia were charged in connection with that crime.
