Conducting what it called a "spring weekend alcohol compliance check," Boise Police cited six local establishments that failed to comply with regulations by selling alcohol to minors. In one instance, law enforcement said the bartender sold alcohol to two 17-year-olds. At other locations, clerks failed to ask minors for identification and then sold them alcohol.

The compliance check included two 17-year-old minors who assisted in the effort.

The establishments that provided alcohol to minors were:

Parilla Grill in Hyde Park
Gil's K-9 Bar on Main Street
The Drink restaurant on State Street
Pacific Rim Wine Shop on State Street
Chapala's Restaurant on Vista Avenue
Idaho State Liquor Store on State Street, near Glenwood
